Seminole Sunday Sauce — April 13, 2025: Winston, Greene Headline FSU Hall of Fame Class
Come September, Florida State will add seven new members to its Athletics Hall of Fame class. That class was announced this past week, headlined by a pair of national champions on the gridiron.
Former FSU football standouts Jameis Winston and Rashad Greene will each be enshrined. The 2013 Heisman Trophy winner, Winston, a quarterback, set the FSU record with 40 touchdown passes as a freshman while leading FSU from 18 points down to beat Auburn for the national championship. After leading the Seminoles to an ACC title in 2014, he began the first FSU player ever to be selected No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft. Winston also played outfield and pitched for FSU baseball.
Greene left FSU as the program’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards. The only player in program history to lead the team in receiving in four straight seasons, Greene left as a 2-time All-ACC selection, 3-time ACC champion, national champion and an All-American.
Bob Braman will be inducted after more than 20 years of coaching FSU’s cross country and track and field teams for more than two decades. He led FSU to three straight men’s track and field outdoor championships from 2006 to 2008. In total, he led the Seminoles to 35 ACC titles.
FSU baseball pitcher Bryan Henry pitched for the Seminoles from 2005 to 2007 and left as the ACC Pitcher of the Year. For his career, he posted a 32-9 record and a splendid 2.60 ERA.
Henry wasn’t the only FSU pitcher to make up the 2025 Hall of Fame class. Softball standout Lacey Waldrop will also be inducted. A 3-time All-American, 2-time ACC Pitcher of the Year and the 2014 USA Softball Player of the Year, Waldrop is FSU’s all-time wins leader with 109 victories. She also held a 1.37 ERA for her career.
Diver Terry Horner was a standout for FSU from 2007 to 2010. A 4-time All-ACC performer and a 3-time ACC champion, Horner claimed the national title in the 1-meter in 2007.
Colleen Quigley ran for FSU cross country and track. Quigley was a 3-time All-American in cross country and 6-time All-American in track. She was also national champion in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 2015.
The new additions will be formally inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sept. 19. They will also be announced on the field during FSU football’s Sept. 20 contest against Kent State.
