Seminole Sunday Sauce — Feb. 23, 2025: FSU Golf Teams Roll to Victory

For Florida State’s golf programs, it was a week to remember. Both the FSU men’s and women’s teams wrapped up tournaments on Tuesday with victories.

The FSU women held off second-place Wake Forest by three strokes to win the Moon Invitational in Melbourne. The Seminoles have won each of their last three tournaments dating back to October.

Lottie Woad claimed a share of the individual title for FSU, shooting 5-under par. Mirabel Ting finished 1-under par to tie for sixth.

In its first tournament of the spring, FSU men’s golf rolled at the 2-day Watersound Invitational. As a team, FSU finished 26-under par — nine strokes better than second-place Alabama.

The FSU men also had the individual champion in Luke Clanton, who finished 10-under par in Panama City. At 5-under par, FSU’s Tyler Weaver and Michael Mays finished tied for sixth.

Neither FSU team will return to action until early March. The FSU men will head to Mexico for the Cabo Collegiate from March 2-4. FSU women’s golf will be in Charleston, S.C. on March 10 and 11 for the Briars Creek Invitational.
