Seminole Sunday Sauce — Oct. 27, 2024: FSU Soccer Celebrates Senior Night with Top-5 Win

After a bit of a rut, No. 17 Florida State soccer seems to be hitting its stride. The Seminoles had perhaps their most impressive performance of the season on Friday night with a 4-2 win over No. 4 North Carolina on Senior Night.

The reigning national champions led 2-0 but a pair of goals by North Carolina’s Aria Nagai drew the Tar Heels even at halftime. In the 52nd minute, Solai Washington put the Seminoles ahead for good with her second goal of the night. Jordynn Dudley’s second goal 15 minutes later capped the scoring.

Dudley added an assist in the victory. Sophia Nguyen, Taylor Huff, Carissa Boeckmann, Wrianna Hudson and Lara Dantas also recorded assists for the Seminoles in the victory.

FSU opened the week with a 7-1 rout of Pittsburgh on Sunday. Six Seminoles scored goals in the victory, including Hudson twice. Ran Iwai and Taylor Suarez each had two assists.

FSU will close the regular season on Thursday at Miami. The Seminoles are currently fourth in the ACC standings.
