Seminole Sunday Sauce — Oct. 6, 2024: FSU Cross Country Dominates in Atlanta

In just its third event of the season, Florida State cross country dominated on Friday. The Seminoles won the women’s race while having the top male and female finisher at the Georgia Tech XC Invitational in Atlanta.

The FSU women finished with six of the top 11, seven of the top 15 and eight of the top 19 runners. Jane Eiselstein took the individual crown. Ava Povich finished sixth. Dani Thompson, Olivia Niewald, Evie McIver and Suus Altorf finished eighth through 11th, respectively.

FSU didn’t have enough racers to qualify for the men’s title, but Kaden Levings won individually. Wynne Thomas and Michael Toppi added top-10 finishes, placing fourth and seventh, respectively.

After having the Florida State Pre Regional canceled to Hurricane Helene earlier this season, FSU will have its first home meet this week. The Seminoles will host the Florida State XC Invite on Friday.
