Seminole Sunday Sauce — April 21, 2024: FSU Football Holds Annual Spring Showcase

For those looking to have their football itch scratched, Saturday may have done the trick.

Florida State football held its annual Spring Showcase. While the quarterbacks debuted turquoise jerseys, the stars offensively were the running backs.

Roydell Williams and Caziah Holmes each rushed for touchdowns in the contest. DJ Uiagalelei’s first completion in garnet and gold was a 27-yard strike to Malik Benson.

There were a few scary moments for FSU as Benson and offensive lineman TJ Ferguson each went down with injuries. The extent is unknown.

The session closed with members of the 1999 national championship team serving as honorary coaches. Peter Warrick, Travis Minor, Corey Simon and Tommy Polley tried their hand at calling plays and defenses.

With the Spring Showcase complete, the fall continues to creep ever closer. The Seminoles are a little more than four months away from their season opener in Ireland against Georgia Tech on Aug. 24.
