Seminole Sunday Sauce — March 31, 2024: FSU Men’s Swimming and Diving Posts Top-25 Finish at NCAA Championships
A national championship was never a reality for Florida State men’s swimming and diving at the NCAA Championships, but a top-25 finish is something to be proud of.
As a team, FSU finished 21st in Indianapolis over the 4-day event. On Wednesday night, the 200 medley relay team of Mason Herbet, Peter Varjasi, Tobias Schulrath and Jokubas Keblys earned All-American honors with a 12th-place finish.
That wouldn’t be the only All-American performance for an FSU relay team. Herbert, Varjasi, Keblys and Max Wilson finished 12th in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Varjasi earned individual All-American honors with a 13th-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. Varjasi, Wilson, Tommaso Baravelli and Tobias Schulrath also claimed 12th in the 200 medley relay while setting an FSU record for fastest time in the event.
Arizona State claimed the team title in Indianapolis. California finished second, followed by Florida, Indiana and NC State.
