Seminole Sunday Sauce — Aug. 27, 2023: FSU Soccer, Volleyball Roll to 2-0 Starts

Two more Florida State fall sports will get underway this week, but the Seminoles are off to 2-0 starts on the soccer field and volleyball court.

After a scoreless first half, Taylor Huff and Onyi Echegini each found the net for FSU within a 3-minute stretch. Huff, Lily Farkas and Jody Brown each recorded assists in the victory.

FSU volleyball opened its stay in Athens, Ga. with a pair of straight-set victories at the Clash City Classic. On Friday, the victim was Western Carolina. On Saturday, it was host Georgia.

Kiara Robey led FSU with eight kills in the season opener while Audrey Koenig paced the Seminoles with 13 digs. Against the Bulldogs, Koenig led the way with 10 kills and nine digs. Robey and Maddie Snider each added five total blocks.
