Seminole Sunday Sauce — Nov. 19, 2023: FSU Soccer Punches Ticket to Sweet 16

For the seventh straight season, Florida State soccer has punched its ticket to the Sweet 16. It didn’t come easy, but the top-ranked Seminoles got the jump done with a 1-0 win over Texas A&M in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday night.

Jordynn Dudley, the ACC Freshman of the Year, scored the lone goal in the 55th minute and in spectacular fashion. Beata Olsson assisted on the lone goal.

FSU held a 12-9 advantage in total shots. Cristina Roque came up clutch for the Seminoles with five saves.

With the win, FSU will move on to face Texas on Sunday. The Longhorns have advanced to the Sweet 16 with wins over Lamar and Wisconsin.

FOOTBALL
