This Week in FSU Athletics: National Spotlight

Florida State is on the road again across most sports.

Looking at the week ahead, here’s a preview for what Florida State has coming up:


Mike Norvell has his rebuild cut out for him this season, entering their next contest an unthinkable 0-4. The Seminoles will face the Syracuse Orangemen this Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at 3:30 P.M. ET in Doak Campbell Stadium. At Double Fries No Slaw, we encourage everyone to purchase their tickets directly from to assure revenues go directly to the athletics department. Please consider purchasing direct before using third-party vendors. The game will also be broadcast on the ACC Network.


Florida State is undefeated and on the road to play against the Clemson Tigers this Friday, October 1st, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. ET. The game will be broadcast on the ACCNX.

The women’s volleyball team has a big stretch of games this upcoming week, starting with a home game versus the NC State Wolfpack this Friday, October 1st, 2021 at 6:30 P.M. ET. The game will be broadcast on the ACCNX, for those fans unable to attend the game in Tallahassee.

Then, the ‘Noles play against the UNC Tar Heels on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. ET. This game will also be broadcast on the ACCNX.

Finally, Volleyball will make their way to Coral Gables to play the Miami Hurricanes on the road this upcoming Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at 8:00 P.M. ET. It will be broadcast on the ACC Network if no south Florida ‘Noles can make their way to the game.

Men & Women’s Golf

Both the men and women’s golf teams will be travelling to Muirfield Village in Dublin, OH to participate in the Barbara Nicklaus Cup. The Cup will be hosted by the Ohio State Buckeyes and will go from Monday, October 4th, 2021 and run through Tuesday, October 5th, 2021.

Cross Country

The Cross Country team will be hitting the road for two invites this week, with the first meet being the Notre Dame Invite. The invite will be in South Bend, IN and will take place this Friday, October 1st, 2021. Then, the ‘Noles will turn around and head south to participate in the Alexander Asics Invite. This invite, in Fairburn, GA, will take place Saturday, October 2nd, 2021.
