This Week in FSU Athletics: Labor Day Showcase

Two new sports enter the fray: Cross Country and Football

Looking at the week ahead, here’s a preview for what Florida State has coming up:

Football

The offseason is nearing it’s end. Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles have a primetime date with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sunday, September 5th, 2021. Florida State will also honor the late Bobby Bowden on gameday, as well as throughout the 2021 season. For the Seminole faithful still clamoring for tickets who plan on going to the game, you can purchase them directly from Seminoles.com. We encourage everyone to purchase directly from Florida State before purchasing tickets from third party vendors. Let’s pack Doak Campbell and let the Warchant ring!

If you’re in need of parking tickets, you may also purchase directly from Florida State here.

For anyone who can’t make the game, you can catch the broadcast live from ABC at 7:30 P.M. ET.

Soccer

The top ranked Seminoles get their hated rivals in the Florida Gators at home tonight at 7:00 P.M. ET. Florida State is coming off a winning streak that includes a shutout of South Alabama. The Gators have three losses and a tie on the season so far. You can watch the game on the ACCNX, if you’re unable to join the ‘Noles in the Plex.

Volleyball

Florida State is hosting a weekend series in Tully Gym, starting off against Tulane this evening at 6:30 P.M. ET on the ACCNX. Then, it’s a double-header on Friday, with the Samford Bulldogs coming up first at 11:00 A.M. ET on ACCNX, and ending against VCU at 6:30 P.M. ET again on the ACCNX.

The Athletic department also outlined the Tully Gym attendance policy for the Fall 2021 campaign. The Seminoles are coming off a weekend split against Northern Arizona and Michigan (game against LSU was cancelled due to Hurricane Ida).

Cross Country

The ‘Noles are off to the races starting this week, as they make their way to Boone, NC to participate in the Covered Bridge Open. They will race at host site Appalachian State on Friday, September 3rd, 2021.
