Lead Story

Florida State women’s golf led virtually from the start at the Schooner Fall Classic, picking up its first win of the season.

The Seminoles finished the 3-day tournament in Oklahoma on Monday with a team score of -12. That was three strokes better than second-place TCU.

A pair of Seminoles finished in the top 10 and three finished in the top 20. Lottie Woad shot -5 to pace FSU and finish eighth. Charlotte Heath was one stroke behind to finish ninth overall for the Seminoles. TCU’s Caitlyn Macnab took the individual crown at -9.

For FSU, just two more tournaments remain on the fall slate. The Seminoles will be at Columbia University for the ACC/Ivy League Challenge, beginning on Oct. 10.
