After a 3-0 start to the season, Florida State football received more good news on Tuesday night. 4-star linebacker Blake Nichelson has committed to the Seminoles.

A native of California, Nichelson chose FSU over more local programs such as Oregon and UCLA. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, Nichelson joins DeMarco Ward as linebackers to commit to the Seminoles in 2023.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Nichelson is the No. 245 overall prospect for 2023. He’s the 19th-best linebacker and 15th-best player from the Golden State.

With the addition, FSU now has the No. 19 overall class for 2023, per the Composite. It ranks fourth in the ACC.
