The Daily Sauce β€” Sept. 14, 2022: FSU Hoops’ 2022-23 Schedule Set

Happy hump day, Florida State fans.

As your week heads downhill, see what’s in The Daily Sauce.

Lead Story

The non-conference slate has been set for some time, but Florida State men’s basketball now knows what its entire 2022-23 schedule will look like. The ACC unveiled the league’s conference schedule on Tuesday afternoon.

FSU won’t leave the state for the non-conference, but does have intriguing matchups with Florida, Purdue and St. John’s. The Seminoles should also be tested during the ESPN Events Invitational on Walt Disney World property.

For FSU, the ACC slate begins before the non-conference ends. The Seminoles will open conference play at Virginia on Dec. 3. One week later, FSU will play its first ACC home game against Louisville.

In addition to Clemson and Miami, who the Seminoles see twice every season, FSU will have multiple contests against Virginia, Notre Dame, Louisville, and Pittsburgh. The final contest of the 2022 calendar year will come at Cameron Indoor Stadium against Duke on New Year’s Eve.

FSU will celebrate Senior Day on Feb. 27 against North Carolina. It wraps up the regular season on March 4 at Virginia Tech.

Entering its 22nd season under head coach Leonard Hamilton, FSU failed to qualify for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in six years last season. After an injury-riddled 17-14 campaign, the Seminoles hope to get back on track with a lineup that includes Caleb Mills and Matthew Cleveland.

FSU will open the season on Nov. 7 against Stetson. For the full 2022-23 schedule, click here.
