Lead Story
It was a sweep to complete the sweep on Wednesday. Florida State volleyball completed the season sweep of Miami with a 3-0 win in Coral Gables.
After winning 3-2 in Tallahassee on Oct. 5, Wednesday’s match was not nearly as competitive. Miami never managed more than 22 points in any set, which included a 25-16 victory for the Seminoles in the second. It was FSU’s first road sweep of Miami since 2016.
FSU doubled Miami’s attacking percentage while the Hurricanes committed 19 attacking errors. Audrey Rothman led FSU with a match-high 13 kills in the win. Audrey Koenig added 11 kills and a team-high eight digs. Angela Grieve led Miami with nine kills in the loss.
With the win, FSU moves to 19-9 and 11-6 in ACC play. The Seminoles will close the regular season at Georgia Tech on Saturday.
