It’s Monday, Florida State fans.

As you begin a new week, see what’s in The Daily Sauce.

Lead Story

Florida State women’s golf’s trip to Clemson didn’t start great. The Seminoles however, finished strong to notch a top-5 finish.

After one day at the Clemson Invitation, FSU found itself in an 11th-place tie out 18 teams. The Seminoles had the third-best day on Saturday and Sunday.

As a result, FSU finished in fifth place. The Seminoles finished just six strokes back of winner LSU. Also finishing ahead of Florida State were Illinois, Kentucky and Florida.

Charlotte Heath and Amelia Williamson each posted top-10 finishes for FSU. Heath finished tied for seventh at +6 while Williamson finished tied for 10th at +7. LSU’s Ingrid Lindblad won by five strokes at -4.

With the solid finish, the Seminoles have notched a top-5 finish in each of their last four tournaments. They’ll begin NC State Match Play on Sunday in their final event before the ACC Championships.
