The Daily Sauce — June 22, 2022: FSU Football Adds OL Transfer Turnetine

Happy hump day, Florida State fans.

As your week hits its midway point, see what’s in The Daily Sauce.

Lead Story

For the second year in a row, Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell has been busy when it comes to the transfer portal.

The latest addition came on Tuesday as former South Carolina offensive lineman Jazston Turnetine committed to the Seminoles. Once a junior college prospect, Turnetine started 10 games and played in 21 for the Gamecocks over the last two seasons. All 10 starts came at left tackle.

Turnetine is the third South Carolina player to transfer to FSU in two years. He joins former defensive end Keir Thomas and current safety Jammie Robinson.

At 6-foot-7 and 340 pounds, Turnetine is the 12th addition for FSU via the transfer portal this offseason and fourth offensive lineman. Kayden Lyles, Bless Harris, Dmitri Emmanuel and Turnetine could all be in the mix for immediate playing time.
