After a stellar season, two Florida State softball players have earned NFCA All-American honors.
Infielder Sydney Sherrill and pitcher Kathryn Sandercock were each named to the second team. For the 2022 season, Sherrill hit .321 with nine home runs and 41 RBIs. She also led FSU with a .484 on-base percentage.
Sandercock finished 30-3 from the circle with a stellar 1.44 ERA. She struck out 159 batters in 194.1 innings and held opponents to a .189 batting average.
Sherrill was also honored with a Rawlings Gold Glove. She boasted a .975 fielding percentage and was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
Despite not making it out of the regional, FSU achieved its highest national seed ever this past season at No. 2. The Seminoles finished with a record of 54-7.
