Florida State men’s track and field has its highest national ranking since 2013.

The Seminoles climbed eight spots to No. 3 in the latest USTFCCCA Poll. FSU blew away the competition at the ACC Championships last month and just had a strong showing at the NCAA East Preliminaries.

FSU is headlined by hurdler Trey Cunningham, who won an indoor national championship in the 110-meter hurdles back in March. As a team, the FSU men had 13 entries recently qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The FSU women claimed four entries into the NCAA Championships. Ranked 11th in last week’s poll, the FSU women now have the most votes among unranked teams. The NCAA Outdoor Championships begin next week in Eugene, Ore.

After previously giving an offensive recruiting overview, Fifth Quarter broke down the defensive side of the football for FSU as it pertains to the current roster and recruiting.

FSU baseball’s NCAA Tournament opener with UCLA will begin at noon ET on Friday. The Auburn Regional contest will air nationally on ESPN2.

FSU football quarterback commit Chris Parson has received an invite to the Elite 11 quarterback camp.
