The wait is finally over — Florida State women’s hoops is a ranked team.

The Seminoles made their season debut in the AP Poll this week at No. 24. FSU is coming off consecutive wins over Virginia and Pittsburgh.

The highest-scoring team in the ACC, the Seminoles have been led by freshman guard Ta’Niya Latson and standout forward Makayla Timpson. For the year, FSU is 18-4 and 7-2 in the ACC.

FSU will hit the road on Thursday for a big ACC contest against No. 7 Notre Dame. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET.

FSU baseball was not ranked in the preseason Baseball America Poll.

FSU’s men’s track and field team was ranked No. 3 in the initial USTFCCCA Poll. The FSU women were not ranked.
