It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans.

As you bounce back from a long weekend, see what’s in The Daily Sauce.

Lead Story

The Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs is over and five former Florida State players are advancing.

Former FSU running back Cam Akers and defensive back Jalen Ramsey played key roles for the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night in a 34-11 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Those two and the Rams will move on to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Divisional round.

The only other former FSU player to see action in their team’s victory was Kansas City Chiefs’ defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi. Nnadi and the Chiefs will advance to host the Buffalo Bills following a 42-21 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Former FSU offensive lineman Bobby Hart is a member of the Bills, but is currently injured and did not play in Saturday’s 47-17 win over the New England Patriots. Also inactive was former FSU and current Cincinnati Bengals’ wide receiver Auden Tate. Tate did not play on Saturday in Cincinnati’s 26-19 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Cincinnati will move on to face the Tennessee Titans and another former FSU player. Tight end Ryan Izzo is a member of the Titans.
