The Daily Sauce — Jan. 14, 2022: FSU Finishes Fall Sports in Directors Cup Top 10

With success across the athletic spectrum, Florida State finished the fall ranked in the top 10 of the LEARFIELD Directors Cup, which measures achievement across all sports.

FSU currently comes in at No. 9. Highlighting the fall season was FSU soccer’s third national championship as the Seminoles knocked off BYU in penalty kicks.

Both Florida State’s men’s and women’s cross country teams finished in the top 20 at the NCAA Championships. After missing the NCAA Tournament with a smaller field last season, FSU volleyball bounced back to reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Nebraska.

In addition to being ninth overall, FSU is currently third among ACC schools. Notre Dame is second behind only BYU. North Carolina finds itself in sixth.
