The Daily Sauce — Dec. 20, 2022: FSU Football Lands Second OL Transfer in as Many Days

It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans.

As you try to stay in the holiday spirit, see what’s in The Daily Sauce.

Lead Story

Some might say it is the season of giving. The transfer portal has been giving Florida State football some added experience along the offensive line.

On Monday, UTEP transfer Jeremiah Byers became the second offensive lineman in as many days to choose the Seminoles. A 6-foot-4, 330-pound tackle, Byers started all 12 games this past season for the Miners and was named a first-team All-Conference USA selection. Byers played in 33 games for UTEP.

A native of Austin, Byers held offers from the likes of Miami, Oregon, Ohio State and Penn State. On Sunday, Colorado’s Casey Roddick made his pledge to FSU.

Over the last week and change, the Seminoles have added four players via the transfer portal. Other additions include South Carolina tight end Jaheim Bell and Shorter University transfer Kyle Morlock.
