It’s Sunday, Florida State fans.
As you make the most of what’s left of the weekend, see what’s in The Daily Sauce.
Lead Story
For the second day in a row, No. 2 Florida State softball got the better of Virginia. For the second day in a row, it came by a 9-0 score.
FSU needed just six innings to dispose of the Cavaliers on Friday, but on Saturday, the contest went the full seven. Michaela Edenfield hit her third run of the series with a 3-run bomb. Kalei Harding also left the yard in the victory. Harding finished with three of the nine hits for the Seminoles.
From the circle, Danielle Watson and Emma Wilson combined to throw a 3-hit shutout. FSU finished with nine hits. Virginia finished with four errors — more than it had hits.
With the win, FSU moves to 34-2 on the season. The Seminoles go for the weekend sweep on Sunday.
