Seminole Sunday Sauce — May 4, 2025: FSU Softball Claims ACC Regular Season Title

Florida State softball hopes bigger things are ahead, but the Seminoles already have something to celebrate. With a 13-4 road win over No. 13 Virginia Tech on Friday night in Blacksburg, FSU claimed the ACC regular season title.

The Seminoles went ahead for good on Amaya Ross’ 2-run single in the first inning. FSU finished with 14 hits and scored in each inning.

Jahni Kerr and Michaela Edenfield each homered in the win. Ross finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs and a run scored. In the circle, Ashtyn Danley went the distance to earn the win.

Jazzy Francik clinched the series for the Seminoles with a no-hitter on Saturday. FSU rolled over the Hokies in six innings, 8-0.

Katie Dack and Hallie Wacaser each homered in the win. Francik finished with three walks and three strikeouts.

With the wins, FSU improved to 44-7 on the year and 18-2 in ACC play. The Seminoles will go for the sweep in Blacksburg before beginning the ACC Tournament as the top seed later this week.
