The 2022 season is here, and with it come staff predictions! FSU versus NC State, who will win?
Coming off their first loss on the season, Florida State is tasked with rebounding on the road against ACC Atlantic darkhorse, NC State. The Wolfpack, suffering their first loss as well against Clemson last weekend, look to make their own rebound against the Seminoles as they welcome the team from Tallahassee to Raleigh.
Our staff shares their thoughts.
Some Notes
Florida State fans must wait in anticipation on news of whether starters such as Robert Scott and Malcolm Ray return in this matchup against NC State. Additionally, starters such as Fabian Lovett are still recovering after injuries sustained in the previous matchups. Others like Winston Wright Jr. have yet to see the field after being injured during the off-season. FSU has already lost Bless Harris, Kayden Lyles, and Stephen Dix Jr. to season-ending injuries.
The Seminoles are optimistic that the injuries (outside of season-ending injuries) aren’t severe and that many of these players will return to the rotation soon (potentially as soon as this weekend).

Prediction: “FSU has lost by a combined 35 points in each of its last two trips to Raleigh and has allowed a total of 85 points over those two contests. Expect the Seminoles to be much more competitive this time around, but the kicking game and raucous prime time crowd in Raleigh will be the difference.”
