The 2022 season is here, and with it come staff predictions! FSU versus GT, who will win?
With no wins so far in the month of October, there are dissenters in the fanbase who are now questioning how good this Florida State squad is. Despite outperforming their previous three opponents in the box score, the final scores of each game reflect the only stat that matters to the fanbase: losses. At 4-3 now, and coming off of a bye week, the Seminoles must rebound and recover the momentum they carried in the month of September. Their first of the remaining opponents on deck is Georgia Tech.
Our staff shares their thoughts.
Florida State fans must wait in anticipation on news of whether starters such as Fabian Lovett return in this matchup against Georgia Tech. Others like Winston Wright Jr. have yet to see the field after being injured during the off-season. FSU has already lost Bless Harris, Kayden Lyles, and Stephen Dix Jr. to season-ending injuries.
The Seminoles are optimistic that the injuries (outside of season-ending injuries) aren’t severe and that many of these players will return to the rotation soon (potentially as soon as this weekend).

Score: FSU 34 – GT 0
Prediction: Harlan gives his thoughts at the 31:10 mark, you can listen to his prediction below.
Score: FSU 38 – GT 13
Prediction: “FSU bounces back especially without Sims for GT.”
Score: FSU 37 – GT 6
Prediction: “I’m not expecting Sims to come out and start for Georgia Tech. I’m also expecting most of Florida State’s roster to be back healthy for this matchup. They have something to prove in these remaining five games, and as Norvell said before, this team has their best football ahead of them. This won’t be that game, but they will run Georgia Tech out of Doak. The ‘Noles are ready to prove they’re the team that started 4-0 and have learned from their mistakes.”
Score: FSU 45 – GT 9
Prediction: “To avoid having its 2022 season spiral out of control, this is a must-win for FSU. Georiga Tech has been playing better under interim head coach Brent Key, but this is one the Seminoles should win and win big. Failing to do so would be more concerning than any of the recent losses.”
Score: FSU 34 – GT 12
Prediction: “Without their starting quarterback, FSU can afford to SIMulate this one.”
Score: FSU 31 – GT 10
Score: FSU 43 – GT 3
