The 2022 season is here, and with it come staff predictions! FSU versus Clemson, who will win?
Losing heartbreakingly, the Seminoles return from Raleigh on a two-game losing streak. With Clemson coming to town, the ‘Noles don’t have long to dwell on their loss against the Wolfpack. Undefeated, the Tigers have been playing better with each passing game. But Florida State, while on a two-game losing streak, caught the Tigers on prime time in Tallahassee, and they are fielding their best team since the 2016 season. For the first time in a while, FSU has a legitimate shot at breaking their losing streak against their divisional rival.
Our staff shares their thoughts.
Some Notes
Florida State fans must wait in anticipation on news of whether starters such as Fabian Lovett return in this matchup against Clemson. Others like Winston Wright Jr. have yet to see the field after being injured during the off-season. FSU has already lost Bless Harris, Kayden Lyles, and Stephen Dix Jr. to season-ending injuries.
The Seminoles are optimistic that the injuries (outside of season-ending injuries) aren’t severe and that many of these players will return to the rotation soon (potentially as soon as this weekend).

Bryan
Prediction: “Y’all think the ACC is going to let their ticket to the playoff lose on Saturday? Sheeeeet there’s about to phantom holding calls and chop blocks and targeting penalties galore.”
Score: FSU 10 – Clemson 31
Ed
Prediction: “I’m still recovering from last week’s disappointing loss to NC State. Do I think the matchup is good for FSU? Yes. Do I like that it’s primetime at Doak? Yes. Do I like that Vegas seems to like FSU? Yes. None of that changes the fact that this ‘Nole squad is prone to silly mistakes that keep teams competitive. You just can’t do that against a top 5 Clemson squad.”
Score: FSU 24 – Clemson 31
Mike F
Prediction: “As was the case last season, expect FSU to be competitive, but the offense endures another difficult second half and the Tigers make it seven straight over the Seminoles.”
Score: FSU 17 – Clemson 27
Shawn
Prediction: “Do I think FSU can win this game? Yes. It all depends on what team shows up. If the team that played LSU, Louisville, and BC show up, we win. If not, we get destroyed… I’m going to think positive here and think these guys have something to prove.”
Score: FSU 35 – Clemson 28
