DFNS Staff 2021 Football Predictions: NC State

The 2021 Season is here, and with it come staff predictions! Florida State versus NC State, who will win?

The Seminoles came close but unfortunately did not pull off the upset in Death Valley this past weekend. Sitting at 3-5 on the season, the ‘Noles must now defend their home in a two-game stretch against some quality ACC opponents. the Wolfpack of NC State upset Clemson earlier this year, but have stumbled in a couple of games this season. With some vulnerabilities exposed, and an opportunity present, will FSU capitalize and defeat the Pack at home?

Our staff shares their thoughts.

Some Notes

There are no significant updates to NC State’s roster with regards to injuries after their game against Louisville.

Of significance on FSU’s front, the ‘Noles are now down a Quarterback, as Chubba Purdy has entered the transfer portal and is no longer listed on the Seminole’s roster. Additionally, there is some speculation that there’s a bit of a “bug” going around the locker room that might affect the starting rotation and overall depth come Saturday.

Mike

Prediction: “Corey Durden doesn’t get his unnecessarily hostile revenge and leaves still a bitter man with only one tackle for a loss. Malik McClain has a break-out performance and has two touchdowns and over 100 yards. ‘Noles win and inch closer to bowl eligibility.”
