DFNS Staff 2021 Football Predictions: Jacksonville State

The 2021 Season is here, and with it come staff predictions! Jacksonville State versus Florida State, who will win?

It was the first win to kick-off the Mike Norvell era at Florida State in 2020. Jacksonville State came into town with the hope of springing the upset against a reeling Seminole squad. Enter Jordan Travis, the unsuspecting quarterback who jump started the offense and swung momentum towards Florida State. The ‘Noles never looked back.

Now, the Gamecocks return to Doak Campbell for an evening tumble against a Seminole squad that nearly upset the eighth ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish in overtime. Florida State has momentum in its favor, having already sold out the student section for the second straight week, they are primed to get Doak roaring for the 8:00 P.M. ET kickoff. With the crowd, prospecting recruits, and team bought in, how will the Seminoles fare in their rematch against Jacksonville State?

Some Notes:

Since the Jacksonville State Opponent Preview, the only significant development was the final score between the Gamecocks and their first opponent UAB: a 0-31 loss.

The Seminoles sustained no injuries of significance against Notre Dame, and if anything, have a very intriguing quarterback battle between Jordan Travis and McKenzie Milton after their 38-41 overtime loss versus Notre Dame.
