Barnes’ Bankroll Management: Week 9

We’re back for another week of gambling picks!

Last Week: 3-4 (43%)

Season total: 28-30-2 (48%)

Last week was less than stellar but given such a terrible slate of game, I can live with it. We have a loaded lineup this week so let’s jump right in!

Michigan (-2) at Michigan State

Michigan has played just two road games but has covered the spread in both. The Spartans are 1-1-1 ATS at home. I think Michigan has just enough to win this week and covers the number.

UCLA (+3.5) at Utah

This number feels about right but considering the hook, give me UCLA here.

Penn State at Ohio State (-12.5)

The Buckeyes have been on a mission and they aren’t slowing down anytime soon. I expect this number to get north of 14 by kickoff. Get in on OSU early this week.

Georgia (-13) vs Florida (Jacksonville)

Georgia has made embarrassing quality opponents a regular thing this season. UF is reeling right now and things could get ugly this weekend in Jacksonville. Unless Anthony Richardson takes every snap at QB, I can’t see UF keeping this one close.

North Carolina at Notre Dame (-4)

This one is tricky to me. Notre Dame is just 2-2 ATS at home this year but this will only be UNC’s second true road game of 2021. I’m not Catholic but I’m riding with the Domers this week.

SMU at Houston (-4)

One of the better under the radar games this week. Give me Houston to knock off SMU from the ranks of the unbeaten as the Cougars win this one by a touchdown.

Florida State (+10) at Clemson

I don’t know if I’m ready to call for the outright upset just yet, but I do think Florida State will be in this game late. Clemson has yet to score more than 19 points in regulation against a Power-5 team all year. While the ‘Noles’ defense has not been great, they have made notable progress over the past month. This one will come down to the trenches with strength on strength. Florida State has established themselves as a power running team while Clemson has keep opposing rushing attacks at bay this year. I think Jordan Travis is the X-factor and why Florida State will have a chance to win this one late.
