Barnes’ Bankroll Management – Week 1

We’re back for another week of gambling picks!

Week zero wasn’t great but it never is. With more action this weekend, it should be much easier to find some winners out there!

Last week: 2-3 (40%)

Season total: 2-3 (40%)

Ohio State (-14) at Minnesota

Ryan Day has things rolling in Columbus and I just can’t buy into the Minnesota hype. Look for the Buckeyes to roll this weekend.

North Carolina (-5.5) at Virginia Tech

Enter Sandman can’t save the Hokies from what Mack Brown and Sam Howell are bringing to Blacksburg. Yes, I’m on another road favorite here.

Penn State at Wisconsin (-5.5)

Three straight favorites in a row gives me some pause here, but I just can’t see Penn State keeping this within a touchdown.

Alabama (-19.5) vs Miami (Atlanta)

No comment necessary.

Georgia (moneyline) vs Clemson (Charotte)

Clemson is a three point favorite but I’m selling the Tigers this week. Georgia is probably the most talented team in the country minus Alabama and this is their year in my opinion. Pick who you think wins here because I don’t see this game ending in less than a 3 point differential.

Florida Atlantic at Florida (-23.5)

C’mon, really?

Notre Dame at Florida State (+7.5)

I’m not sure FSU is ready to win a game like this, but I think they can cover the number. 70,000+ FSU fans in Doak, first full stadium since the pandemic, tribute to Bobby, etc. They say home filed advantage is typically worth 3 points. Doak may be worth 5+ points given all of the variables going on this weekend. Take the Tribe with the points and sprinkle some on the money line.
