Soccer win the ACC Championship

It was a huge weekend for soccer as they headed up to North Carolina to compete in the conference championship, defending their title. They played the semifinal on Friday night against Wake Forest, and won in OT with a golden goal from Maria Alagoa 2-1. They were back on Sunday against the number 1 ranked Virginia for a rematch, after playing them in Tallahassee 10 days earlier. The Noles won the title 1-0 with a goal from Clara Robbins after 10 minutes of play. This makes the team back-to-back ACC champions!

Petra Hule heads to Fall National Championships

Petra Hule headed to San Diego to compete in the fall national championships for the first time in history for the women’s tennis team. The Nole won her first round against a player from UNC to head into the final 16. She lost in a close 3 set battle to Southern California, who was the eventual finalist of the event.

Volleyball take a win on the road

The Noles were on the road this weekend in Georgia first of facing Clemson on Friday for more ACC play. They beat the Tigers 3-1, giving them a 5 match win streak and increasing their record to 10-3. They were back on the court on Sunday against 14th ranked GT, but unfortunately lost 1-3.

Football struggles against ranked NC State

The Noles were in the Doak on Saturday afternoon against number 8 ranked NC State. They were at a disadvantage with starting QB Jordan Travis being out due to illness, and the rest of the team having struggled through the week too. However, the Noles put up a fight and the final score was 14-28.
