Still reeling from soccer
This week I think all Noles fans were celebrating the soccer team who became National Champions for the 3rd time on Monday night. An incredible achievement for the team, but also for the Seminole Nation. They were welcomed back by fans on Tuesday night, followed by celebrations in the stadium.
Basketball was on the road
The men’s team was away against South Carolina on Sunday night in a game that came down to the last seconds. The Noles had chances to take the win but lost 65-66 to the Gamecocks. Malik Osborne made an incredible block with 7 seconds to go, giving the Noles the ball and a chance to shoot. Unfortunately, they didn’t make the shot and the game was over.
The women’s team was also away in a rivalry game against Florida, but lost 55-69. The Noles were making a comeback run in the final quarter, as they started it 35-60 and managed to bring it back and score 20 points. Morgan Jones has played 8 games in a row making double-figure points.
Other exciting news was announced as Michael Alford was announced as the new athletic director of FSU athletics. Michael comes from the Seminole Boosters, so has had a huge impact on FSU athletics already. We look forward to seeing him in his new position.
